The Jisc Regional Support Centres (Northern, North West and Yorkshire & Humber) are proud to present this year’s annual Learning Resources Conference 2013, with keynote speaker Leo Appleton, Associate Director of Library Services, Liverpool John Moores University.

The focus of the keynote will be on how libraries and library managers can engage with their institution, including students, academic and management colleagues and indeed library staff, to ensure that the strategic and operational activities of the library are fully aligned with the institution’s strategic plan. This can often mean doing things differently, offering new services or changing the ways that the library supports the institution. The role that technology can play in this will be a key  theme in the conference workshops.
The Learning Resources Conference 2013 is targeted at librarians, information professionals and learning technologists who are looking for new ways to exploit appropriate technology to promote resources and support learning effectively.
This event will provide delegates with a range of workshops where delegates can explore how digital technologies are being developed to provide a responsive and exciting library experience.
There will also be an exhibition area for delegates who want to keep abreast of the latest developments with e-resources and an opportunity to network with suppliers and peers.
Conference Fee:  £75, includes:
  • Keynote and workshop entrance - further details http://lanyrd.com/2013/lrcon13/
  • Post-conference access to workshop resources
  • Lunch and refreshments throughout the day
  • Free wifi
