Case studies examining the issues surrounding the implementation open source software in libraries and an overview of possible support.

Information:

Open source software such as Moodle and Audacity are already widely used in education and their benefits wildly discussed. This webinar will give you an opportunity to hear about three OS software programmes available to libraries and the lessons learned from their implementation.

Gary Brewerton, Library Systems Manager Loughborough University – The Open Source Reading List System developed at Loughborough

Anita Wilcox, E-resources Librarian, University College Cork - reSearcher suite open source Electronic Resources Management System.

Nick Dimant, Managing Director, PTFS Europe – An overview of implementing Open Source Library Systems.
